Most Ring wired models need 16–24 volts AC. If you’re not sure, text me a photo of your transformer or doorbell chime and I’ll let you know.
Yes. Battery-powered models like the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) or the Ring Battery Doorbell Plus are made for homes without doorbell wiring.
Wired models use your home’s doorbell wiring and typically respond faster. Battery models are flexible but may need recharging every few months.
Yes. A strong Wi-Fi signal is critical. Check the signal near your front door or wherever you’re installing. Weak signals can cause delays or missed alerts.
